About the project
A serious history with an unforgettable address.
JuicyDildo is an independent editorial project built to replace viral “oldest sex toy” stories with evidence readers can inspect.
What we publish
We cover the broader history of sex toys and the distinct histories of artificial phalli, vibratory technology, and adjacent sexual devices through archaeology, patents, literature, art, material science, disability history, retail, law, and design. The research base includes five cornerstone histories, scoped 141-, 92-, 95-, 110-, and 108-record bibliographies, artifact and invention comparisons, and explicit uncertainty rules.
Our strongest subject is not the object alone. It is the difference between what a source documents, what it makes possible, and what a good headline is tempted to claim.
What we do not publish
We do not use photo-realistic sexual imagery, manufacture “first ever” claims, offer product-specific medical advice, or turn current law into a timeless listicle. This launch contains no affiliate links, paid placements, ratings, or sponsored products.
Who writes the pages
Pages are published under the JuicyDildo.com Research Desk, an organizational byline. We do not invent individual credentials or claim peer review that did not occur. Each page names its evidence basis, review date, and principal source records. Future specialist review will be credited by name only with the reviewer’s agreement.
Why the tone is restrained
Sexual history attracts both embarrassment and sensationalism. Neither helps readers. The subject can be treated plainly, sometimes playfully, and still receive the same source discipline expected in any other material-culture history.
